The Opposite of a Block?

The time is drawing near where all my commitments for the year will be done. I have one more novella to write then I can write whatever I want!!

This sounded exciting a few months ago when I could say, "By then I'll know what I want to write."

I'm not blocked. Not exactly. I have too many stories to tell and I can't pick which one. It's like someone asking me to pick my favorite son. I can't. But the results are the same as a block because I can see July is just around the corner and I should be in plot mode and I'm not.

I wish I had a crystal ball that would tell me which story would be more appreciated. Some people will say, "Write the book of my heart." They're ALL the books of my heart. I want to write them ALL.

I have a dark UF that frightens me, I have dragons, I have paranormal murder mysteries, I have geeks...

You think Rafflecopter has an app I can uses to make decisions?

I think this where an agent would come in handy. Someone who understands the business and will say, "Write this."  I even considered picking a name out of a hat. Before someone mentions Angler or Vanguards, they ARE on my roster for this fall. One of them. I'm procrastinating on that decision as well. I'm sure there'll be a whining blog in the fall covering this.

In a few weeks, I'll be forced to buckle down and decide.  *flails*

May 29th

I've been working a lot at the evil day job this week. It's been crazy busy at the hospital.

Today, though, I'm working on revising Ravenous.

Here's a little snippet.

“Look at her body. She’s emaciated. Someone left her here to starve.” He watched me as I struggled against my chains. I wasn’t in control anymore. I could only sit back and scream in silence. The demon part of me had taken over. That’s what happened when I got too hungry, like a survival instinct. If I didn’t orgasm every three days, I’d find myself humping some schmuck behind a dumpster. This was day seven.

Happy Dance

Edits for Scent of Valor are done.
I love writing in Eorthe. I have so many books planned in this series. It's one of those places where the stories are endless.
Now off to edit Ravenous. *rugs hands together*

Suffer the Hunger

If you hadn't heard, I'm focusing on my Lake City Stories this summer.
What is Lake City and who is this chick on the cover?
Remember, a long time a go, I had this book called Starved for Love. It was a Carina Press release. I loved working with them, and they were interested in the rest of this series, but I wanted to dip my toes in self publishing with a new series and do it right this time.
Angler is self published, but it was a mess. I didn't have a plan and felt I let readers down because it took me SOOOO long to get a new book out. Not this time.
Pia is the star of the first books in this series. I hope you'll lover her quirky ways as much as I do. Ravenous is a pre-quell to Starved for Love and explains how she ended up the way she is and how she met Zur-Sin.

Suffer the hunger.
Pia Blyton wants it all. A steady boyfriend, love and her independence. But to ignore her succubus nature is to welcome chaos. Every three days she must orgasm to feed. Bad sex isn’t an option. Stave off the hunger for too long and her demon side peeks out, and its tastes are much less discerning than hers.
One bad day, one wrong decision, and her demon takes control of her libido and kisses all her best intentions goodbye.
Brokenhearted and ashamed, Pia is dragged home to Lake City by Zur-Sin, a vampire her father paid to find her. When Sin tries delivering Pia to her concerned family, her fa├žade cracks. She can’t face them after what she’s done.
Ever the businessman, Sin offers Pia a compromise. She can stay with him, and he will teach her to control her hunger. All he wants is her body, and half of her father’s empire, in return.

Wed. May 21st

I'm the worst blogger ever.

I love my site. I love getting feedback. But my brain is a scattered mess. I need a herder to guide me to what needs doing. Normally, I have an online goals thread which I update religiously to keep me focused but this year I lost interest in it. I think I'll try using this blog that way both of us will know what I'm up to and what is coming up.

First off, I have a ton of new covers I haven't shared because I'm silly like that. I'll start with Scent of Valor, releasing Nov 2014. Peder's book. *pets*

Courage blooms in the meekest of hearts.

Chronicles of Eorthe, Book 2

After spending twenty years trapped in her civil body, Kele can finally shift into feral form. By tooth and claw, she’s determined to climb the Payami pack hierarchy.

Her parents plan to mate her with a hunter from a rival pack, but her heart’s already been stolen by the most unsuitable wolf possible—Peder, an omega male. She’d gladly give him her body except he’s disappeared from her life. Maybe into the thieving arms of another female.

Peder has spent every moment of their forced separation training to be a hunter. When he hears of her arranged marriage, he fears he’s waited too long to trespass back onto Payami lands to fight for her hand—but he damned well isn’t giving up.

On his journey to confront Kele, Peder is attacked and wakes in a cage, helpless as a band of vampires attack Kele’s mating party. Separated by social standing, thrown together by tragedy, they must work together to survive. And find out if their attraction is merely puppy love, or a bond that’s stronger than time.

Warning: This book contains an omega male who’s done submitting and a hunter female who isn’t used to needing anyone to come to her rescue. Violence ensues, not for the faint of heart.

GOALS for this week:
1. Finish overview edits of Scent of Valor and start read threw.
2. Start proof reading novel for another writer.
