The Party's Not Done

My Birthday may have passed but I'm still celebrating for two more days!  Some of my buddies have dropped in. Voirey Linger and Hailey Edwards are here. Voirey writes about angels and Hailey writes about demons.  Well, well...if you ever met them you'd wonder if maybe it should be the other way around. LOL

There are some things an angel shouldn’t do…

Renatus is a legalist and knows the rules better than most. But knowing the Law doesn’t stop him from imagining the press of a hard male body against his, or remembering one forbidden kiss that left him hungry for more. He leaves Heaven to mingle with mankind, hoping that satisfying curiosity will quell desire. He finds Adam, a college professor who has given up on love.

Adam once dreamed of finding the perfect man and settling down. His dreams and trust were shattered when he found out the truth about his ex. Meeting Renatus seduces Adam into taking another chance on love. But Ren is keeping secrets, and the only promise he will make is that he will leave.

Now the Most High has commanded Renatus to retrieve the Law of Men and Angels, and a vengeful demon is circling, waiting for her opportunity to strike. Staying is impossible, leaving unbearable, and Ren wants to succumb to temptation, forsaking eternity for a life on Earth with Adam.

The most damaged heart can fly with the right pair of wings.

Madelyn’s life is far from fairytale perfect. She is second in line for the throne of a corrupt, brutal monarchy. Or at least she was until her dark guardian sacrificed his life to hide her safely in a realm of infinite possibilities.

For years she’s lived among a colony of escaped slaves as her guardian’s widow. Even in this simple life, though, nothing is as it seems. Her hero kept a secret—a younger brother named Clayton Delaney. Warrior, winged demon…and the man who now wants to lay claim to her heart.

No longer cast in his brother’s shadow, Clayton meets all obstacles head on, including one named Maddie. His infatuation with her reaches the breaking point when she undergoes a royal rite of passage, going into heat and pushing them both over the edge.

Just as Maddie learns that some risks are worth taking, she discovers that her guardian may be alive. And she’s forced to make a choice between the man she’d thought she loved, and the demon willing to lend her his wings.

Rule number one, when living with aliens, never make assumptions.

Rule number two, knowledge is power.

Rule number three, don't fall in love.

Assigned as an interpreter to the Cyngi, Liaison Sadie Beckit is left in the dark. The mysterious species’ data chip, from head quarters, holds minimal information and Ambassador Nual refuses to give her more. As the Red Dawn is held under siege in a remote part of space, the crew and passengers fight for their lives. Sadie's orders are to escape but her heart is already a hostage.

Falling in love was not in her orders and broke rules one through three.

Thats a very hard question. I have two favorite books that I can't choose between but thats ok because there different genres. So, my favorite cowboy book would be A Tall Dark Cowboy by Mackenzie McKade and for paranormal romance, my favorite is Heart of War by Lisa Beth Darling :)

There is no way that I could choose a favorite book of all time. There are just too many wonderful books! But one of my favorites that I have read this year was Larissa Ione's ETERNAL RIDER.

OMG! What a hard question. I would have to say a pre-teen's book: Gone Away Lake. I first read it over 30 years ago and I still think about it and reread it every couple of years.

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, after all these years I still remember the magic that Jamie and Claire brought to my life reading the book and then following it with the rest of the series.. It cemented my love for all things Highlander!

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. I read that book as a kid until the cover fell off. I can still recite the first paragraph from memory. I love that book. It was the first book I ever read that was written about my area of Oklahoma.
